Ms. Lavern Patricia “Pat” Melton, 74, of Tifton, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.

Our deepest sympathy to the Melton families. Pat was a go getter that fought for human rights. She didn't back down from a fight. She spoke to everyone. Our Prayers are with you all and for you all for Peace, Comfort, and Strength during this time and afterwards. The Poole, Cobb, Cromer, Harris, Scott-Hester, Scott, Pridgon, Black, Cooper, Banks, Bonds, Hunter, Francis, and Jackson families.
She was funny and yet serious. Pat enjoyed helping others and giving support to make sure all was good. She had a beautiful smile. Lord comfort the family, friends, neighbors and all who were dear to Pat.
Ms. Laverne Patricia Melton, this hard for me but I have always loved you and thank you the many , many years of working with you and for you!! 1990-2008 !!! Thank you for allowing me into your life as a son (MAMA PAT) take your rest !!! Love, Aaron Covin
