Deloris Odell White was born in Oak City, Goose Neck Township, North Carolina, on May 19, 1943, to the late Clayton & Rebecca Powell Lynch. She was born to a family of (8) brothers, David, James, Clayton Jr., Lewis Curtis, Ronald, Allison, Michael and Melvin; (7) Sisters, Oteal, Mary, Barbara, Louise, Diane, Rosie, and Sheila.
Deloris moved to New York, where she met Oscar White, and they were joined in Holy Matrimony on June 26, 1965. This beautiful union was shared with one son, Duane White.
Deloris dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on January 4, 1975, and faithfully remained one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Deloris peacefully went to rest on January 19, 2026, at home, after a lengthy battle with Dementia. But she drew comfort from the Bible’s assurances that:
God will resurrect our dead loved ones. – Acts 24:15
God longs to bring them back to life. – Job 14:13-15
She leaves to cherish fond memories; (1) Son, Duane (Nicole); (3) Grandchildren: Devin (Reagan), Amber (Justin), and Lauren (Saban); (1) Great grandchild: Cade Alexander; (4) Brothers: James (Diane), Allison, Michael, and Melvin; (5) Sisters; Mary (Joseph); Barbara (Robert), Louise, Rosie, and Sheila; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Thank you for all the prayers, support, and words of comfort.
Please continue to keep her beloved family in your prayers as they cope with her passing.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

My sweet grandma, It feels like a piece of my heart is gone without you and grandpa, I don't know how to quite describe it. It feels like yesterday when we'd come to your place and watch animal planet, do our puzzles, listen to the sirens and watch the "firefires", eat our boiled peanuts and just spend time together. Memories aren't about the extravagant adventures you take or the amount of money you spend. Memories can be as simple as just being in the same space and just feeling the overflowing amount of love. Growing up with your grandparents you get used to them taking care of you, when the roles eventually reverse it breaks your heart. This is the part I hold Jehovah's hand the tightest to get me through the toughest of days and to give me the peace and strength to continue to go and I choose to look to the hope that Jehovah promises me, the resurrection hope. Holding on to the promise that the next time I see you and grandpa again you will be in perfect health, probably better then me shoot. Until then ya'll have left a tremendous impact on your 3 grandkids and the best dad a girl could have (your son). Each day has been a challenge and it won't be the same but we're doing our best to continue to show up for each other. For my siblings like you always taught me from young I'm only going to have 1 brother and 1 sister so I cherish the bonds I have with them because of you. And also for my dad, he's a REAL gem and has a heart of gold and a big part of that came from what you and grandpa instilled into him especially your example and love for Jehovah. You two raised the best dad a girl could ask for. We all can't wait to welcome you both back with open arms, we love you!
My Deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mrs Deloris White
