Mother Charlotte Marie Britt was born the daughter of the late Ollie William and the late Celia Coath Williams in Allendale County, South Carolina on December 14, 1939.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and she joined Greater Bethel AME Church, Fairfax, South Carolina. Mother Britt attended the public schools of Allendale County.
After graduation, she met and married the love of her life the late James Britt and they relocated to New York. She later moved to Springfield, Massachusetts where she raised her children. Her spiritual experience began as a member of Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist, Springfield, Massachusetts. In the year, of 1985. Mother Britt relocated back to Fairfax, to care for her parents along with her Step-father, Harold Youmans, until their demise. Upon moving back to Fairfax, Mother Britt became a member of Revelation Ministries.
Mother Britt loved to cook, dance, and enjoy family gatherings. She was employed with Spalding, Buxton Leather Company. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), for a nursing home in Massachusetts where she later retired.
Mother Britt was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, until she departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at MUSC, Charleston, South Carolina.
She leaves to celebrate her life: (2) Sons: Ollie D. Britt, Springfield, MA. and Kelvin (Tonia) Jones, Allendale, SC; (4) Daughters; Bonita Britt, Dallas, TX; Bridge (Calvin) Saxon, Springfield, MA; Lisa Britt, Springfield, MA, and Tonya (Dedrick) Carter, Allendale, SC; (1) Loving Sister: Lillian (Paul Bailey) Springfield, MA; (15) Grandchildren: Kito Gray, Jermaine Britt, Jerome Britt, Eunica Dowdell, Ashley Britt, Shalandria (Calvin) Bolen, Patra Britt, Wilbur Loadholt, Jr., Jordan Loadholt, Jorey Jones, Brandon (Melinda) Collins, Marrissa (Tyrone) Davis, Briana Jones, Hakeem Britt, and Von Moore; (30) Great-Grandchildren; (2) Special Friends; James Fredrick and Betty Lee; (1) Special Niece, Brenda Pinckney, Springfield, MA; (3) Special Nephews: Ronald Pinckney, Austin, TX, Gregory Pinckney, San Antonio, TX, Karl Pinckney, Springfield, MA; (1) Loving and devoted cousin: Dora Murvin; Milwaukee, WI. A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
