“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul: he guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Mother Ruby Frazier Brooker, lovingly known as “Mama,” was born on April 8, 1927, in Early Branch, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Cicero Frazier, Sr., and Mrs. Mary Anderson Frazier.
Mama was educated in the public schools of Hampton County. At an early age, she accepted
the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a baptized believer at Wilkerson Baptist Church in Early Branch, South Carolina.
She was united in holy matrimony to Thomas Brooker, and together they were blessed with seven amazing children.
With grateful hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the beautiful life of Mother Ruby Frazier Brooker, a beloved soul who was blessed with nearly a century of life. A woman of deep and unwavering faith, she loved God wholeheartedly and lived each day guided by His Holy Word.
Mama faithfully walked in the spirit of Luke 6:38 and Galatians 6:10, always giving generously, doing good to others, and sharing kindness wherever she went. Her life reflected the fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22–23 — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
She was known for her thankful heart and the warmth she brought into every room. Fellowship with family and friends was one of her greatest joys. Whether gathered around delicious food, enjoying music and television shows, relaxing in her rocking chair, or
exchanging heartfelt cards and messages, she treasured every moment spent with the people
She loved.
Mama was richly blessed to witness five generations of family — a legacy that brought her immeasurable joy and happiness. Her love, wisdom, prayers, and gentle spirit will continue to live on through each of them.
She also had a special fondness for the colors blue and black, which reflected her timeless elegance and grace.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing that she lived a full and faithful life devoted to God, family, love, and service to others. Her beautiful memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
