Mrs. Cassandra Mitchell Hallingquest, affectionately known as "Momma Duck" and "Salley," was born to the late Juanita Smart Mitchell and the late James Washington on March 29, 1969, in Fairfax, South Carolina.
She attended the public schools of Allendale County. At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Savior and became a member of Jackson Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Brunson, SC. She later became a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Barnwell, SC.
Cassandra later further her studies at Clemson University and she graduated from Limestone College with a degree in Business Administration in December, 2015.
Cassandra was employed with UPS for numerous years as the following: January 2003, started as a Collector, promoted to Manager/Team Lead in 2004, promoted to Supervisor - F&A Collections/Brobill/Training/ECM/RNT, and promoted to Operations Manager of Greater Chicago Area in which she recently moved to Bolingbrook, Illinois.
On January 16, 1991, Cassandra was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Mr. Tony Hallingquest.
She was a die-hard Clemson Tigers' and Dallas Cowboys' fan. She was a mother, sister, and friend to all she knew. She was loved by everyone. Cassandra was outgoing, kind, sweet, smart, supportive, and she never met a stranger. She was the life of the party!!! Dear not to forget to mention how beautiful and gorgeous she was!!!!!
Cassandra departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, South Carolina.
Cassandra leaves to cherish her memories of love: her loving husband, Tony Hallingquest; (2) sons; Jacquais Hallingquest, Barnwell, SC, and Shanad Hallingquest, Columbia, SC; (2) daughters; Kela Hallingquest and Khadejia Hallingquest, both of Aiken, SC; (3) grandchildren; Noah and Kalev Hallingquest, Barnwell, SC and Skylar Hallingquest, Columbia, SC; (3) God daughters; Jasmyne Walker, Orangeburg, SC, Aerial Walker, Columbia, SC and Ashley Mitchell, Fairfax, SC; (2) brothers; Mannie Smart, Fairfax, SC, and Jerold (Sherrie) Smart, Hampton, SC; (6) sisters; Theresa Bell, Fairfax, SC, Arnita (James) Frazier, Orangeburg, SC, Priscilla (Donald) Wright, Pam Smith, Roberta (Ernest) Deloach, Fairfax, SC, and Sharon Hay, Brunson, SC; (4) aunts; Hazeline Perry, Reatha Mays, both of Fairfax, SC, Rosa Gilbert, Allendale, SC and Betty Jones, Barnwell, SC; (2) uncles; Jay Price, Sycamore, SC and Tony Price, Japan; (1) God sister; Rickeidre Wright; Fairfax, SC; Mother/Father-in-law; Deacon and Mrs. James Hallingquest, Barnwell, SC; (1) brother-in-law; Jeffery (Brenda) Hallingquest; (2) sister-in-law; Lakesha Hallingquest, Barnwell, SC and Lyshanette Hallingquest, Columbia, SC; (3) Special friends; Elmer Walker, Barnwell, SC, Lisa Keech, Athens, Georgia, and Traci Riley, Fairfax, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
