Mrs. Joy Lynn Holmes was born November 11, 1953, in Kissimmee, Florida, to the late Richard Keith Maves and the late Joy Ann Beatty.
She received her education in the Osceola County Public Schools.
Joy was employed with Gatlins IGA for several years. She loved working in her community store and serving the community with a beautiful smile.
Joy joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Paul Holmes, on April 13, 2013.
She was a soft – spoken person, who loved life, being with her family, especially her husband, fishing, and spending time/caring for animals.
In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by her loving son, Roger Maves, and devoted friend, Reatha Monts.
Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call from labor to reward our beloved Joy on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at MUSC Health, Orangeburg, South Carolina.

A host of loving cousins and sympathizing friends.
