Palmas Roberts, Sr., was born October 24, 1929, to the late Joseph Roberts and the late Carrie Dixon in Allendale County.
He was educated in the public schools of Allendale County. Palmas relocated to High Point, North Carolina. While in High Point, North Carolina, he became employed with Broyhill Furniture Company. He worked with Broyhill Furniture for numerous years.
Palmas was united in marriage to the late Susie Mae Badger Roberts and God blessed this union with ten beautiful children.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, and fishing.
He was loved by everyone, and he had a personality like no other. In addition, to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by (1) loving son: James "Choke" Roberts.
On Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Hospice Home at High Point, he quietly moved into his last great adventure.
Dedicated to his memories are his loving and devoted children: Betty (Willie) Lee, Joanne (Van) Green, Patsy (Wade) Walker, all of Fairfax, SC; Palmas (Cheryl) Roberts, Jr.; Philadelphia, PA, Nathaniel (Betty) Roberts, Fairfax, SC, Jerome (Diane) Roberts, Allendale, SC, Alexander (Sarah) Roberts, Barbara Freeman, Linda (Eugene) Patterson and Alice Drayton all of Fairfax, SC; (28) Grandchildren; (65) Great-Grandchildren; (1) Special Great Grandchild (3) Step - Children: David Tomlim, Greensboro, NC, Gwendolyn Tomlim, and Leola Tomlim all of Hight Point, North Carolina; (1) Sister: Laura Harrison, Greensboro, NC; (1) Brother: James (Tight) Roberts, Greensboro, NC; (3) Special Nieces: Gloria, Doris, and Deloris; Special Friend/Caregiver: Theresa Dye. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
