Obituary For Ronald Parrish
Ronald Parrish (affectionately called “Uncle Greech”) was born February 9, 1940, the third of five children, born to the late Harold and Rose Parrish. He was called home on March 17, 2025.
Ronald had one son, Ronnie Parrish. He had a family and network of friends that loved him. He enjoyed being the best-dressed person in the bunch and could be seen decked out in a full 3-piece suit, on a hot humid day in the south, without breaking a sweat. Family and friends suggest his favorite word was “LISTEN.” This was both the beginning and ending of his sentences.
Ronald lived in New Jersey for many years and eventually moved to North Augusta, South Carolina. He also lived in Fayetteville, Georgia, for a while, before returning to North Augusta. He was honored to be received by his sister, the late Catherine M. Nixon, and his nephews Celvin (Cheyenne) Mitchell Sr., Dwayne (Melissa) Mitchell, and Troy (Robbie) Mitchell. He shared new experiences and new life-changing events that were both positive and rewarding and proved to enrich his life. He attended a church in Augusta, GA, and talked about the wonderful experiences he shared with the congregation of believers.
Ronald will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He joins in eternity, his parents, Harold and Rose Parrish; brother; Harold Parrish, Jr.; and sister Catherine M. Nixon.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Bouie; his brother, Donald Parrish; sister-in-law, JoAnn Parrish; eight nephews, Celvin (Cheyenne) Mitchell, Sr., Troy (Robbie) Mitchell, Sr., Dwayne (Melissa) Mitchell, Garren Parrish, Tyrone (Sonya) Parrish, Delvin (Danielle) Parrish, Donald (Shonda) Parrish and Nicholas Bouie; two nieces, Dorothy (Larry) Daves and Sheryl Bouie; great-grand nieces; great-grand nephews; cousins and friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of our dear friend, Brother Ronald. He attended our church regularly for several years until he became too ill. He was a very caring and honest hearted person. He had a powerful inner strength and seldom complained over the course of his battle with late stage lung cancer.
