Mr. Lee Earnest Duckworth was born August 1, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Pearlie Mae Duckworth and Lee Earnest Gladney.
Lee transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, with his mother by his side.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, at an early life. He was a member, of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church in Moss Point, Mississippi, until his death. He was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilders, until his health failed.
Lee is preceded in death by his father, Lee Earnest Gladney; grandmother, Willie Mae Duckworth; great grandmother, Alberta Light; sisters, Mary Helen Runnels and Terry Johnson; step-father, Charles Costict; uncle, Lemar Walker; uncle, Johnny B. Light; and aunt, Imagene Lemons of Kennett, Missouri.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Pearlie Costict, of Moss Point, Mississippi, sons, Deantia Hye, of Moss Point, Mississippi and Travis Duckworth, of Louisiana; daughter, Moncia Duckworth, of Vancleave, Mississippi; sister, Gloria Johnson, of Moss Point, Mississippi; nieces, Dynisha Witherspoon and Dynashia Anderson, both of Moss Point, Mississippi and Lisa Barnes, of Jackson, Mississippi; a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Olivet Baptist Church, 5925 Frederick Street, Moss Point, Mississippi. The viewing will be one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Scranton Cemetery; Pascagoula, Mississippi.
