Mrs. Beatrice Bernice Broadnax Millender, 83, was born on May 1, 1937 in Jackson, Mississippi to Jefferson David Broadnax, Sr. and Josephine C. Hyde Broadnax.
She married her sweetheart, the late Judge Ennis Millender, Sr. on March 21, 1955 and they were married for sixty-six years.
Mrs. Millender was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Ennis Millender, Sr.; two sons, Henry Broadnax and Billy Roy Millender; parents, Jefferson David Broadnax, Sr. and Josephine C. Hyde Broadnax; brother, Jefferson David Broadnax, Jr., brother-in-law, Leon Millender, and sisters-in-law, Retha Millender Johnson and Sarah Millender Perine.
Mrs. Millender leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Raymond (Cheryl Welch) Millender, Sr., Jency (Bernard) Steward, Sr., Essie (Gerald Sr.) Jackson, Ennis (Jan) Millender, Jr. and Robert (Eunice) Millender, Sr.; sisters, Mattie Roberson, Mabel Belton, and Mary (Raymond) Montgomery, brothers, Earl Warbington and Thomas Lee Broadnax, brothers-in-law, Rev. Osbry (Janice) Millender of Atmore, Alabama and Roy (Mary) Millender of Rancho Cordova, CA; sister-in-law, Minnie Welch, Oakland, CA, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Beatrice Bernice Broadnax Millender will be thoroughly missed by all.
The viewing will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 4600 Main Street, Moss Point, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Machpelah Cemetery, Machpelah Road, Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Interment will follow the graveside services.
