It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Roselyn James of Darlington. Ms. James passed on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in McLeod Hospice following an illness.

Funeral service is 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. Private interment will occur at a later date.

Obituary

"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8

Ms. Roselyn James was born January 4, 1950 in Darlington, South Carolina a daughter of the late Willie Pugh and Edna James. She departed this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina.

At an early age, she attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Roselyn was a resident of Thad E. Saleeby Development Center in Hartsville, South Carolina for 44 years since 1977.

Those left to cherish his memory are: three brothers: Jesse James of Darlington, South Carolina, Christopher James of Las Vegas, Nevada and Howard James of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
