James Freeman

James was one to always meet one with a smile or some kind of joke. I was sorry to learn of his passing. May the Lord strengthen and comfort his family and his friends. My prayers and thoughts. G Juanita Johnson Hay--Boone, NC

I would like to say that James was a one of a kind guy. He was able to reason with our Mom, Florence Payne in a way no one else could. She didn't know of his passing and was looking forward to seeing him again wwhen she gets to go back to the Retreat from the hospital. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with so many others.

My mother lived at the retreat with James. The night she moved in he helped us. I knew from that night forward i had made a friend. During all this covid times. When they started letting us visit outside. I would go and set on the porch with momma pattie and James. I took them treats vanilla ice cream .i wanted to be a blessing to them but they blessed me instead. James always looked after my mom. He will be missed dearly. He was the best encourager.

I live in the same building at Habersham Retreat as did James. He was a daily ray of sunshine! He was always happy with a big smile! He always wanted to help me and my sister, or brother, bring things in from the car. James always kidded me that I wouldn't win a race with my rollator! James was special, I will miss his cheerfulness snd friendship.
