God saw her getting weak, and came and stood by her side and whispered, "You have lived your best now, come on home and rest." She closed her eyes and went to rest. Because she knew God knows best. She bade no one a last farewell or even said goodbye. She was gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
Mrs. Bobbie Jean Leflore Boyette was born to the late Armstrong and Mary C, Leflore on January 29, 1944 in Carthage, Mississippi. She was the ninth of nine children born to this union. Bobbie confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Carthage, Mississippi.
Bobbie received her early education in the Leake County School System. She attended Jordan High School in Carthage, Mississippi where she was a stellar basketball player. Upon completion of high school, Bobbie continued her education at Oklolona Industrial School on a full scholarship. She later transferred to Mississippi Valley State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She continued her advance studies in Mississippi State University where she received her Master of Science degree.
Bobbie was united in holy matrimony to the late Napoleon (Pup) Boyette in 1966. To this union two (2) children were born, Sheila Boyette and Tasha Boyette Davis.
She was a devoted and faithful servant of Durant Missionary Baptist Church until her untimely passing. She served in various roles including as a Sunday School teacher, a deaconess, and a usher.
Bobbie began her academic career as an elementary school teacher at West Elementary School. She spent over thirty years in the Holmes County School District, with the majority being spent at Williams Sullivan formerly known as Durant Attendance Center. After her retirement, she worked part-time in the Durant Public School District.
She passed away peacefully at her home in the early hours of Thursday, June 3, 2021. Bobbie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Napoleon (Pup) Boyette, her parents, Armstrong and Mary Leflore, siblings, Mary C. (Madglean) Perkins, Bessie Lee Henry, John Lang Leflore, Willie Leflore, Roberta Teat, Armstrong Leflore, Jr., Robert M. Leflore, and Charles Edward Leflore.
Bobbie will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Sheila Boyette and Tasha (Kayln) Davis of Durant, MS; five (5) grandchildren, Artavia Boyette, Kayla Davis, Desmond Davis, Kayln Davis, Jr., and Khirby Davis; one great-grand child, Tyler Boyette; two sisters-in-law, Ollie Ruth (Clarence) Mayfield of Chicago, IL and Bobbie Lokey of Durant, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

She was my elementary school teacher at DAC. I'm 51 years old now and I have never stop thinking about her as my teacher. Great teacher!
