Fannie Jerlene Levy Knight lived her life to the fullest. She was very caring, loving, and affectionately known as a jewel because she was the cornerstone of her family.
Fannie was the tenth child born to the late, Jessie and Della Morris Levy of Carthage, MS. Both parents preceded her in death, along with four brothers: Louis, Harry, Charles, and Johnnie Levy; four sisters, Barbara Levy, Shirley Booker, Cherry Person, and Mary Wilder; and one stepson, Kennedy Keon Knight. She transitioned from this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the family's home in Carthage, MS.
Fannie grew up in Carthage, MS, attended Carthage High School, later received her BS Degree in Education from Mississippi Valley State University, and a Master's Degree from Delta State University. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Incorporated. Greenville, MS Chapter. She began her teaching career at Charge Elementary School and later relocated to teach at Hollandale School for 37 years, until retirement.
Fannie professed he belief in Christ at an early age and united with Tribulation M.B. Church in Carthage, MS. Later, she moved to Hollandale where she united with Pleasant Green Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ricky Vassor. She served as a faithful member of the choir. She loved her community and was loved by so many.
Fannie was united in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Knight, Sr. on October 2, 2002.
The precious memories of Fannie will forever linger in the hearts and minds of her loving family. She leaves to cherish he loving memories to her husband: Kenneth Knight, Sr. of Hollandale, MS a nephew, Raymone Levy of Kansas City, KS; six stepchildren, Lakendra Evans, of Greenville, MS, Reginal Jackson of Richland, MS, Kennethy Knight, Jr. (Lugenia) of Anguilla, MS, Kenisha Knight of Loganville, GA, Jaden and Kyleigh Knight both of Southaven, MS; nine step children; two brothers, Jessie Levy (Maxine) and Leroy Levy (Elaine) both of Carthage, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Soror Fannie, knowing you was a pleasure. You were always kind, helpful, and supportive to me when I met you in in the Hollandale School District. Your compassion for our special needs children was beyond measure. Beautiful sister inside and out!
