Flora Hutchins Perry was born on October 15, 1948,in the rural Leake County, to the late Wesley and Alpha (Wilder) Hutchins. She was the 7th of 9 children born to this union. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became a member of Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was enrolled at Conway School and later went to Greer High.
Flora joined Odis Perry in Holy matrimony for 40 years. To this union 2 children were born: A daughter Crystal Gayle Perry and a son Otto Metzke Perry both of Memphis, TN. It was her life's joy to be a mother and care for her family.
Flora worked many years at Nylon Net in Memphis, TN; to help provide for her family.
After many decades of hard work, Flora had finally started to enjoy flowers, cooking, and making the best ice tea.
On November 24, 2021,Flora departed this life. She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Alpha Hutchins her 3 brothers John Wesley Hutchins, Wesley Hutchins, John Henry Hutchins, and 3 sisters Fay Wilson, Christine Groves and Shirleen Rogers. Flora leaves to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy: one daughter, Crystal Perry and one son, Otto Perry both of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, one granddaughter LaKayla Perry and one grandson Kahleb Hill both of Memphis, TN; two brothers Floyd Hutchins of Garland, TX; and McArthur of Hayward CA; two sisters, Sylvia Clayton of Carthage,MS; and Sopha Bolden of Jackson, MS; a sister-in-law Annie Dean Hutchins of Carthage, MS; a brother-in-law J.W. Rogers of Chicago, IL; In-laws Irene Watkins, Lucy, Gloria Jean, Larry, and Carlos Perry all of Memphis, TN; and Chestine Adams of Saginaw, Michigan. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
