Mrs. Dean Riley, of Kosciusko, Ms. was born on January 21, 1932, to the late Henry and Annie Griffin of Dossville, Ms. She united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Mr. Jessie Riley, of Carthage, Ms. To this union, eleven children were born. Three preceded her in death.
She was a stay-at-home wife during her children’s lives. She loved her family and was a friend to so many people; kind and sharing. Cooking big meals and sharing with everyone in the community or whoever wanted or needed a meal was what she was mostly known for.
Mrs. Dean transitioned to glory on Sunday, June 28th, 3023, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Ms. She confessed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age at Delydia Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Leake County. Owens Chapel A.M.E. In Kosciusko, Ms. is where she faithfully attended service until her death.
She leaves to mourn her children, Gloria, Freddie (Carol), JC, Barbara (Anthony), Robert, Jamie (Lisa), Michelle, and Michael (Amy). She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two siblings, Willie Jean Jones (Herbert) and Carl J. Griffin (Linda), a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
