Funeral Services for Mr. Jessie J. Luckett, will be Saturday, May 24, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m., @ Christian Union M.B. Church, Carthage, Ms., with Buriel in The Christian Union M. B. Church Cemetery, Carthage, Ms.
Mr. Jessie J. Luckett was born September 5, 1951, in Carthage, Ms. to the parents of, Mr. Richard Luckett, and Mrs. Alma Wilder Luckett. He was the youngest of 8 children.
Mr. Jessie Luckett attended O.E. Jordan High School, graduated, and furthered his Education at Jackson State University College, and Mississippi Valley State University College, both on athletic Scholarships. He excelled in sports, and was a standout in basketball, and football. He was fondly remembered for being a lethal 3 - point shooter.
In 1974, He married Myra Nicholson, and to this union (3) children were born, Chrostopher, Corey, and Keilo. In 2003, He later married Nita Harris Luckett, and to this union (1) child was born, Erin Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving Wife, Mrs. Nita H. Luckett, (4) children, Christopher (Keshia), Corey (Tammie), Keilo (Kim), and Erin Harris, (8) Grand Children, (1) Loving Sister, Ms. Mary Luckett-Gray (Milwaukee, WI) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

I'm sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Jessie. He was a tremendous basketball player. He could shoot it like no one I had ever seen. He was a great guy as well. We all have fond memories of watching him play. God has gained a great shooting guard for his basketball team.
