Mae Florence Graham was born September 2, 1934 to the late Mattie May Futch, of the Freeny community in Leake County, Mississippi. She received her education at Harmony Vocational and they were blessed with five children. While raising her children, she often made room in her home for anyone that needed her help and guidance. She was a sweet, loving, nuturing , kind,caring woman who would give her last to anyone in need.
She and Jack moved to California in 1950 where she joined Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully in the senior choir until 1991. During this time, she supported her family by waitressing for several years before gaining employment with Garrett Air Research as a mailroom supervisor. She took an early retirement to move back to Mississippi in 1991 to take care of her mother who's health was failing. Mae themn joined True Light Missionary Baptist Church, where she served o the usher board until 2015. When she moved to Terry, MIssissippi she joined First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church and was a loving and faithful Mother of the church. In 2020, Mae returned home to Walnut Grove and transfered her membership back to True Light Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to wonderful memoriesthat will be cherished by her son, Andrew (Katie) Graham of San Dimas, CA; three daughters: Sharie Graham of Terry, MS; Debbie Graham of Walnut Grove, MS; Linda Washington of Aberdeen, MD; her adopted daughter, LaTonga Leflore of Walnut Grove, MS; her very special daughter, Rosland Essex of Terry, MS; twelve grand grandchildren: Dan, Demterius, Mauice, Derrick, Christopher, Tiffany, Nicole, Stephon, Stephanie, Angela, Jeff,and Jason. Sixteen great grands, one great- great grandson, Jalen Anthony Rudd, one sister Denise Williams of California, one brother, Cecil Williams of Walnut Grove and a host of nieces, nephews who will miss her dearly.
Mae's gone Home to meet with her lovig family who ascended before her in death: A.D. Graham, one daughter, Rosie Ann Brown,, one son, Steven Allen Graham, four sisters, Viola Griffin, Gennie Leflore, Thelma Weathers, Eunice Leflore; two brothers, Leroy Williams and Clifton Williams; a special son, Andre Graham; and her loving great granddaughter, Reagan Rosie Brown.
