Brother Alvin Johnson was bon on March 7, 1961, in Carthage, MS, to the late Hattie Mae Hunt and Joe Tony Johnson.
Alvin's spiritual journey began at an early age when he joined Galilee MB Church, and later became a menmber of St. Mark MB Church.
On May 31, 1981, Alvin was joined in holy matrimony to Patricia Beamon, with whom he shared a loving partnership and raised three children. Alvins's career began at Heimlich and Payne, where he work dililgently until his retirement in 2016. He larer contributed his skills at Smith Automotive in 2018 and was employed with Carson Construction until his health began to decline.
Alvin Johnson, chersihed father, grandfather and beloved member of his community passedaway peacefully at home on August 21, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents , Hattie Mae Hunt and Joe Tony Johnson, as well as two sisters, Barbara Hunt and Constance Hunt, three brothers Thomas Hunt, Charles Hunt and Harold Johnson.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memories his wife Patricia Johnson; two daughters Alicia (Tyon) Christopher of Denver, CO and LaSheena (Marcus) Gill of Arlington, TX; one sond Alvind D. Johnson of Lewisville, TX and six adoring grandchildren Jermelia, Y'Jazzmin , Ja'Kayla, Ja'Kaleb, Zikeya, and Leia.
He is also survived by his sisters Jacqueline Johnson of Walnut Grove, MS, Shirley Johnson of Jackson, MS and Charlene Robinson of Atlanta, GA. Alvin will be deeply missed by his extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins and a host of friends who ere touched by his kindness and generosity.
