Carmelia Lou Crier, born December 8, 1943 to William and Rubia E. Brown of Canton, MS. Departed this life peacefully on December 9,2024 in Kosciusko, MS at the age of 81 surrounded by loved ones. After graduating from Jim Hill High, in Jackson, MS , she followed her sister Taveta north to Chicago. While in Chicago, she joined the Navy to serve her country and become a nurse. In 1992 she moved back to MS to take care of her mother. Carmelia was also talented and passionate seamstress. Who found joy in creating costumes and assisting friends and family with alterations. Her skills and dedication to her craft brought happiness to many.
Carmelia and her first born Taveta Michelle Crier are lovingly remember by; her son Clinton and Kathy Crier, grandson Gavin Crier, granddaughter Madison Crier, brothers: Durrell Brown, Herman Brown, Albert and Jerry Brown, 13 nieces and nephews and 30+ grand nieces and nephews.
Ms. Crier will be missed, it was a pleasure to have known and taken care of her while she presided at the MS State Veteran Home in Kosciusko. She was a classy person.
