Mr. Roland Charvezz Foster was born on July 21, 1972 in Kosciusko, MS. He joined Pleasant Hill M.B. Church at an early age. He was a Graduate of Kosciusko High School, class of 1990. After high school, in 1990, he joined the U.S. Army and served abroad in Somalia during the Middle East Unrest.
He departed this life on March 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Wiley and Mabris Warren. Grandparents: Clarence and Ruthie Foster and James Wilkes of Milwaukee, WI.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved grandmother, Lorene Warren of Cleveland, OH. His loving father, Charlie (Charles) Foster. His beloved mother, Rosie Simpson and step-father, Jerry Simpson. His one and only loving daughter, Vanessa (Jay) Foster, of El Paso, TX. His big sister, Olivia (Sis) Warren. One step-sister, Cotresha Simpson. His favorite, and only niece, Amari Warren. A beloved friend, Delorise Snow. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
To have known him was only to love him. Roland was known and will be remembered for having a great sense of humor, full of stories and jokes. He also loved hunting and fishing. He had a love like no other for those nieces and nephews that were not his biological nieces and nephews that called him uncle Roland, uncle RoRo, and just Unc. “Yonder Way” as he was known to say as he was leaving.
For many years I've had the absolute pleasure to watch Roland grow into an outstanding young man, father and solider. His infectious smile and positive attitude toward life, left an everlasting impact on numerous people who crossed his path. Roland may you rest in peace until we meet again and your family be forever blessed with many wonderful memories of you. Heavenly Father, I come before You today on behalf of our fallen hero. You say that You know when the smallest sparrow dies. Thank You, Lord, that You have prepared a place of eternal rest. I pray that You bring soothing comfort now that this warrior is in his eternal home with You. Amen.

So many memories I have and for that I know you will forever live. I will always remember your jokes and laughter. I remember our last chat about you being a black cowboy and laughed about you chasing the bull when you were little and your grandma made me go get you. I can never forget those Yahoo's, momma always had to buy when you were coming over. Your service to our country will never be forgotten. To the family "stay strong and know that he is finally at peace". I love you all and my God bless those who will read or share memory. Love ....Doris
