Mr. Willie James Triplett affectionately known as Trip, was born March 2, 1943, to the union of the late William S. Triplett and Carrie M. Triplett in Carthage, Mississippi.

Willie received his formal ducation from Conway High School, where he gratudated in 1961. After graduation Willie moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. In 1967 Willie started working for Ford Motor Company where he was a dedicated worker for more than 30 years.

At a young age, Willie became a member of Christian Union MB Church until he moved to Detroit, Michigan. In 2002 Willie moved back to Carthage, MS, and once again became a devoted member until his health failed.

On October 20, 1975, Willie married the love of his life, Ida (he said whenthey first met, she told him her name was Tootie). To this union two children were born, Yolanda and Sherita.

Willie departed this life on Sunday, February 6, 2022, peacefully at home. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Carrie Triplett and one sister Hattie Gavin.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving devoted wife of 46 years Ida, two daughters, Yolanda (Harry) Levy and Sherita Latiker of Carthage, M; one granddaughter, LaKenya of Hattisburg, MS and one grandson Aidan of Carthage, MS. Two sisters Ernestine Williams of Carthage, MS and Della (Michael) Wright of Atlanta, GA and two brothers Albert (Robin) Williams of Detroit, MI, and William Jr. (Shelia) Triplett of Los Angels, CA. He also leaves one aunt, two uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who were crazy about Willie James.
