Her Life Carmen D. Ross was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 8th, 1960, to Mrs. Willie L. Anderson and Joseph Woolen. Carmen passed away on August 4th, 2022, in Macon, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Morris L. Ross, her daughter, Tonekia L. Phairr, and stepson Marquis L. Ross (Roshanda Ross). She also leaves to cherish her memory of her five grandchildren, Jayland A. Ross, Marquese, Aaliyah, Aiyana, and Ja’ Von, her sister Mary Ruffin (Frank Ruffin) and brother Jerry Woolen, Sr. (Alice Woolen), and many nieces and nephews.
Carmen graduated from Jackson Olin High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She went on to attend Jefferson State Technical College and Mercer University. She worked at GEICO Insurance for more than 20 years. She was loved by all who knew her and a "second mom" to all her co-workers.
Carmen was a dedicated and faithful member of First Baptist Church.
She was a die-hard Alabama fan with a BIG heart who loved to feed anybody. Carmen had an impact on everyone she met. She was a kind, intelligent, loving, funny, and caring person who will be greatly miss her family, friends, and neighbors.
