Mrs. Pearline (Pauline) Hightower Young was born to the late Claude Hightower Sr. and Pauline Jones Hightower on April 21, 1930. She is proceeded in death by three sisters, Leola Hightower Myres, Anna Bell Price, Mamie Gilbert, four brothers, Willie Gene Hightower, Richard Hightower, Willie Bob Hightower, and Willie Albert Hightower.
Mother Pearline Young attended Shellman Vocational Grammar School and Randolph Clay High School in Shellman, Georgia.
Mother Young was a loving mother, a Virtuous woman of God, she loved church and it sadden her when she could no longer attend because of her health but she still praised and worship God.
She was very wise, patient, understanding, a woman of unwavering faith, she loved cooking, baking for her family and anyone else, it bought her great joy.
She joined the church at an early age, a devoted faithful member and a mother of First Baptist Church of Garmon Street for a period of 22 years until the Lord called her home.
She was referred to as the Candy Lady in her neighborhood and was loved by everyone that she met and she never met a stranger!
She met the love of her life Tommie Lee Young in Shellman, GA married for 55 years. She lived in Miami, Florida earlier on and resided in Warner Robins, GA till her death. To this union six children were born of which four of them proceeded her in death. Three daughters, Gloria Williams, Christine Jones, Linda Young, one son Tommy Young Jr.
Mrs. Young leaves to cherish her memory, one very faithful, devoted, loving, and caring daughter Bobbie Battise (Nathaniel), one son Johnny Young (Emma), and one brother Claude Hightower Jr. of Shellman, GA.
Also cherishing her memory are her precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, an abundance of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends too many to count!
