Richard Smith Jr. was born in Houston County, Georgia on August 8, 1967, to the parentage of the late Richard Smith Sr. and Mrs. Jessie Mae Richardson.
Richard graduated from Warner Robins High School and later joined the United States Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm.
In Richard’s younger years, he enjoyed playing football, basketball, baseball and running track. He also enjoyed spending time with his family & friends over good game of spades and dominoes.
Richard peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Smith. He leaves behind four loving children, Ashaunti Smith, Richard (Christina) Smith, Yasmine Smith and Sharnice Smith; two bonus children Jarmell and Picassio McGhee; siblings, Manoleto Alexander (Tamera) Smith, Jessica (Erika) Richardson; bonus siblings, Marcus (Pam) Richardson Jr. and Marguerite Howard; devoted friend Debrah Heckard; grandchildren, Cayden, Christopher, Christina-Michelle, Codie, Cross-Lynn, Caylee-Ann, Aaliyah, Asia, and Charlie-Rose; and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends to cherish his memory.
Richard’s legacy will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
