Terry Louis Smith was born to the late Samuel Smith and Dannie Smith. He was one of nine siblings, two of whom—his beloved sisters—preceded him in death.
Terry attended Northside High School and later continued his education at Savannah State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying with him a deep sense of honor and discipline throughout his life.
In 1980, Terry married his high school sweetheart, Ethel Walker. Together, they shared 44 beautiful years of marriage, with their 45th anniversary approaching in January 2026. Their love was a testimony of commitment, faith, and partnership, rooted in the values they carried since their teenage years.
Terry was a man who loved God, his family, and music. His passion for harmony extended beyond melodies and into the way he built his life—steadfast, uplifting, and filled with care for those around him.
He was the proud father of three children: Trina Miller (Javarr Miller), Terrance Smith, and Sky Smith. His legacy continues through them, as well as through his grandchildren, surviving siblings, extended family, and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Terry will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and his dedication to living a life of faith and joy.
