Tsgt,Robert Lee James, 77, of Warner Robins, GA, passed away on September 30th, 2021 his final days were spent with family he passed away at his residence. He graduated from Huntingdon High School in Newport News.
He was born June 15, 1944, in Newport News, VA, to General and Louise James. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years with tours of duty in Thailand, Langley Air Force Base, Robins Air Force Base, & RAF Wethersfield UK. He served for over a decade as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base. One of his favorite hobbies was salt water fishing & his grandchildren were at the center of his heart. After retirement he battled a number of illness including prostate cancer. He was born into a family of 10 children of which he was the fourth. He was preceded in death by General James Jr,. Larry James, Carolyn James, & Michael James. Surviving siblings Audrey Graham (Newport News) Mary Moore (Hampton, VA) Bernard James (Tacoma WA), Randolph James (Hampton, VA) Rita Tucker (Newport News, VA). He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 56 years Jacqueline James, three children Reginald James (Lemiece), Frederick James (Kimberly) and Katherine James; Four grandchildren Remy, Aaron, Caleb and Evan also a host of nephews, nieces and other cherished friends. In loving memory of Robert L. James his wife and family are requesting that in lieu of flowers that donations be given to one of the following charitable organizations.
