Funeral Services for Ms. Alberta Needham were held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at New Bethlehem Community Church in DeKalb, MS.
Burial followed in the New Hope Church Cemetery in DeKalb, MS. Rev. Henry Rush will be officiating.
Alberta Grady Needham was born December 9, 1927 to Tom "Gun" Grady and Emma Inez Donald Grady in DeKalb, Kemper County, MS. She received her education from Blue Springs Grammar School in DeKalb, MS. She was a 1946 graduate from Whisenton High School, of DeKalb, MS. She joined Bethlehem United Methodist Church of DeKalb, MS, at an early age, and remained a member until death.
Alberta married Hydell Needham. She was a devoted mother of four children, Ernest Grady, Willie Lee Grady, Wydell Needham and Earl Needham.
Alberta Needham, age 97, exited this mortal life on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Mississippi Care Center of DeKalb, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom "Gun" Grady; mother, Emma Inez Donald Grady; two sons, Wydell Needham and Earl Needham; one daughter, Willie Lee Grady; and five brothers, Tommy Grady, Jack Grady, Junior Grady, Ack Grady, and Wallace Clark Grady; three sisters, Mary Price, Margaret, Geneva Grady Rush, and Annie Grace Grady Clark.
Alberta leaves to cherish her memories, one son Ernest (Jennie), four grandchildren, Rosonia Grady of Meridian, MS, Amber and Shalan of Los Angeles, CA, Carolyn Porter of Robbins, IL, six great-grandchildren, Jayla, Gavin, Be' Undreia, De'Jaiya, Gevon, and Gregory of Los Angeles, CA and one great-great grandchild De'Eres of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces, great neices, nephews, great nephews, cousins, family and friends.
I was saddened to hear of this young lady taking her rest...I know she is smiling as she always did and being fast but she wouldn't be no other way...rest on Mama!!!!
