Poppers, I don't know what it feels like to not have a dad.,,you made sure of that. Despite our rough upbringing, you never abandoned us. You knew how much I loved basketball, so you put a basketball goal up, not knowing the impact...The entire neighborhood was in our yard. Inspiring several young men, not just me. I really wanted a car, so you put a motor in your mustang, which was finger busting work. On my way to college, we broke down in Nashville, you drove from Memphis late at night to save us. I can write countless stories of the love you gave me. So. I will continue the legacy in you honor. I love you my twin and give mom a big kiss for me. Your son!!!

My Forever King

Dad, as a father, you always made us your number one priority. You cared for us unconditionally while making numerous sacrifices to provide us with a home and family structure where we felt safe and protected.

You were a very present, hands on Dad that GOD blessed me to have. I could never repay you for the countless sacrifices you made for our family. Daddy, you are my FOREVER king, my Papa. Thank you for taking care of me and providing me with your covering and unconditional love. I miss you and love you forever and beyond!

I remember when our house burned down in 1980, and you and Betty invited us into your home. That was the first time I lived somewhere that wasn't in the hood, and I felt safe, and welcomed. You were always full of jokes and laughter You'll be missed but I know Betty is there to welcome you with open arms. Rest in heaven, Arthur Lee.AJRS
