My sincerest condolences to the family. Mrs. Walker was a dear colleague, serving as Principal during my first years of teaching at Georgia Ave Elementary. She showed the students that ones current zip code did not determine the quality of their worth nor their work. May she be remembered for being a light for all who encountered her.
