Mother Ida Porter was a "Rare Jewel" that touched everyone she came in contact with. Her wit, wisdom, love, singing and especially that famous "tap" will be greatly missed!

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of a SAINT. Mother Porter truly LOVED PEOPLE. She treated ALL THE SAME, it didn't MATTER TO HER IF YOU WERE SINNER OR SAIT SHE WOULD REACH OUT TO YOU AND SHOWED GENUINE LOVE ❤️ AND CONCERN!! It is NOW REWARD TIME . To BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD!! I can ONLY IMAGINE HER STANDING BE FOR OUR KIBF; Will she bow, dance , sing, stand in AWE OR LAY PROSTRATE BEFORE JESUS! Knowing the WOMAN OF GOD MOTHER PORTER WAS ; She GOING TO DO IT ALL! Praise God for a TRUE EXA OF A GODLY WOMAN. Family know that the Cook's family will continue to uplift You in or prayers. I'm not an official member of GCT and I know Bishop doesn't know me and mother Porter didn't know me but, she always smiled when she saw me and would reach her hand out to shake mine (pre COVID) I always felt welcome. The entire Porter family and GCT family are in my prayers.
