When I heard the news of Jimmy's transitioning, I was truly saddened. Although I hadn't seen him in years, I hold fond memories of when we met at 1770 Lanier in August of 1984 at Watkins-Overton High School. I was a band guy and he was in the choir. He and my cousin, Darnell, reminded me of Morris Day and Jerome. 2 Corithians has a verse that says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest well my friend.
