Uncle Murray, You will be missed. Love you. Your niece Kimberly Bishop-Oden
Uncle Murray, I remember you always would call me your best friend. No one knew what that meant but I do. You and I always laughed at certain things that wasn't really that funny but it was to us. Then you would go back to your serious face lol I will truly miss you..... Love, your niece LeeSandra Johnson
Love you, Murray. RWG.
Mr. Murray Bishop was a long time neighbor of my Mom and Dad on Southview Ave. He use to take walks early in the morning and move the newspaper up close to the door so Mom wouldn't have to walk far to get her paper. She's 95! This summer I was doing yard work at Mom's and Mr. Bishop stopped to talk with me. I found out he was selling his car so I went online to Kelly Blue Book to let him know the value. He was so appreciative. Not long after that I went to visit him. He was sitting in his carport. He said, " Go look around the corner on the door". There was a tropical parakeet! He said it wandered up to him, crawled on his shoe and up to his knee. He had been feeding it a dinner roll when I got there. The bird jumped on my extended finger and came home with me until I could find it a good home. Just recently I visited Mr. Bishop again and he told me the bird came back! I don't know if it was the same bird but we both enjoyed talking about it. He also spoke about how much he missed his wife of so many years! My Mom and I wish to offer our deepest condolences to his daughter and family. We will miss our kind and good neighbor, Murray Bishop.
I love my dad and will miss him! May he rest in peace....your loving daughter...Velda Currie
