Rev. Lawrence E. Barksdale Sr.

To the Barksdale family, many of us thought of Lawrence as a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:3 KJV). But God used Lawrence as a seed who sowed into the lives of so many people, including my own ministry and life and the life of my family. I will always remember his words that he had learned the Suffiency of God's grace. I will dearly miss my "Big Brother in Ministry" as he often said when we conversed about the word. He was always so very happy to welcome us and our twin daughters home at visits to Fellowship United with my mother, a faithful member. We have fond memories of the kind, smart and supportive pastor he was to each family unit always the good shepherd. God Bless the family during this difficult time.
