Speaking The Right Words

Today our hearts are sad and sorrowful as we mourn the lost of our fellow co-worker, friend and brother in Christ. We worked with Wallace and beside Wallace for over twenty-five years. A man that always had a smile on his face. A devoted, faithful, respectful gentleman, eager to assist you in any way he could. Honest as "Old Abe"

After his wife became ill, Wallace retired from his job to be with her, and he did just that. He cared for her until she passed. Wallace was that kind of a man. A man full of love and compassion. A devoted husband, loving partner, father to his sons, Cedric and Erick, grandfather. He was always eager to talk about his family. A proud man always smiling

Wallace was a Christian man, a God-fearing man. He loved his Pastor and church members keeping God's law and commandments. He had faith in trust in the Lord. He treated everyone in a Brotherly manner. He wanted to please the Lord and he endeavored to do that which is right. Wallace had a humble, caring cheerful outlook. He found joy in helping others.

There are no regrets for the life Wallace chose and lived. For God will bless and reward you when you help those that are in need. Wallace was a man that put a guard over his mouth, as God word says, he chose not to speak evil of anyone, gossip or spread rumors. Wallace chose to speak words that were gracious and kind. A man that encouraged, uplifted and inspired others.

Our visits with him at the care home were always happy and uplifting. He was always so glad to see us, most especially, Mamie Houston, who would stay and have lunch with with him and bring her bible and read some of his favorite passages to him. Always in good sprits never in a depressed mood asking about everybody, always concerned and happy.

Genesis 31:49 Quote Wallace always recited with us upon our leaving after visits.

"May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other"

Thanks be to God for our reflection of Wallace. We will miss him. May his soul rest in peace. We love you Wallace.
