Larry Anthony Simmons,61, of New Bern, NC died Friday, May 8, 2020 at Duke Medical Center, Durham, NC.
His service is 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 12, 2020 at New Bern Memorial Cemetery followed by the interment.
He is survived by his mother, Helen L. Simmons of New Bern; four sons, Tavares Chadwick of New Bern, Rashad Mack of Philadelphia PA, Tarrian Mack, Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Toye Chadwick, Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Mike Simmons, Clarence Morgan, Jr., Walter Morgan all of Raleigh, NC; four sisters, Claudette Kent, Barbara Simmons both of New Bern, Cynthia S. Green of Yuma, AZ and Linda M. Hocutt, Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren.
Ms. Helen and the rest of Larry's family, I am very sorry to hear of Larry passing. I'm even more sorry that I am just now finding out. Larry was my classmate and was of the coolest guys ever! He always dressed very nice and had a swag with his walk that truly was his signature. Turk I've always considered you as my best friend. We played ball together we sang together we even pushed cars away from the house and then started them down the street and got in more trouble than anybody could ever Imagine.
