Alvin Richard Fisher of Rock Hill, 79, passed away on Sunday 10,2025 at Wayne T Patrick Hospice House.
He loved to fish and take photos. At family get togethers you would always see him with a camera in his hand. He especially loved his older cameras that held real film. When you talked to Alvin long enough you would find out his true passion was growing plants and his garden. Every year you would see him out in the yard taking care of his garden that grew and produced so many veggies. In fact, he was such a great gardener that friends, neighbors and family always had tomatoes, squash and cucumbers for the summer. If you were lucky enough to get some of his canned jelly, count yourself lucky.
He is survived by his partner in life Cheryl Pettus of Rock Hill and his son Delvin Fisher of Hendersonville, NC.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
Entrusted to Parker Funeral Home
To Al's family and friend very sorry to find out about Al. I wondered because I did not get a card. I am Carlos an old neighbor. I took that picture you showed in his memory. Great great person
I'm sending you my love and comfort, Cheryl. I will always remember Alvin working in his beautiful garden and flowers. He was always so gracious to give me vegetables or plants for my garden. He helped me so many times with plumbing issues and gardening. I will certainly miss him.
