Obituary For Mr. Charles (Chuck) Bernard Summers
Charles (Chuck) Bernard Summers, Age 71, Son of the late Anne F. Blunt and John E Summers, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Advocate Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. After graduating from Withrow High School in Cincinnati, OH; he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce and retired as a Staff Sargeant with specialized training in IT Communications. He enjoyed traveling with his nieces and nephews. He was a jazz bass player and enjoyed attending live jazz concerts. Charles was able to live in several different parts of the US including, HI, TX, GA, AZ, NC and SC. He spent his final months in SC surrounded by the love of his family.
Besides his parents, he is preceded by death by two sisters, Melva L. Summers and Marlene Summers Jackson and two brothers, Edward Folson and John Summers.
He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later time.
Parker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Uncle I'm still heart broken. But rest well I know you are in the Arms of the Lord. I'll see you when I get there. Oh by the way I will still be the oldest.
I really hated to hear about Bernard passing. He was always so friendly and smiling. I lived across the street from him and he would smile and wave every time we seen each other. A lot of times he would stop and chat as he was leaving his house for work.Im going to miss that for sure.
One of the best friends any person could ever ask for.
