Edward Lee Neill, son of John L Neill and Mary Francis Neill (Evison) was born on February 21, 1934 on a Taylor County farm house south of Corning Iowa. Ed fell asleep in death on March 1, 2025 at his home in Rock Hill South Carolina at the age of 91 years and 8 days with his wife Kay at his side.
Ed grew up on his parent’s farm and rode his horse Lacy to school. He loved horses and anything that had to do with farming. He often said that “ young people who grow up in the city are missing out on so much”.
Ed was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 5, 1948 in DesMoines Iowa and will be remembered for his wonderful smile, kind and patient personality, and for always wanting to be a peacemaker. The most important things to him were his relationship with his God Jehovah and sharing his Bible based hope for the future, that of being able to live forever here on earth.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Kay Neill (Dorn) her 2 sons Brandon and Jonathan Brewer, 2 grandchildren. His 2 daughters, Robbin(Jim)Jones, Rhonda (Adam)Ward and 3 grandchildren.
Ed is predeceased by his parents, late wife Jeanne’(Ferris) and sisters Betty(John) Scherzinger and Carolyn(Gordon) Houston.

It's been a few years since we seen Ed and family but we still wanted you to know you will be missed by all here in Council Bluffs. You were so much a part of the brother hood in the early days, today we are still here finding those who want to do Jehovah's will. May your family take comfort knowing he's in ours and Jehovah's Loving memory. Love and hope to the Neill family. Snyder's
