James (Mack) Gainey, 66, Died on 08/02/2025 in Pineville, N.C.
A Native of Westville, F.L., James was a son of the late Lonnie V. Gainey and Lillie Mae Gainey.
He was a navy veteran. He was a proud world famous and internationally traveled vs-33 Screwbird who traveled the world aboard the USS America and the USS Ranger. After leaving the Navy he worked as a carpenter/ subcontractor.
Surviving are his children, James D. Gainey, J. Paige Gainey, and Step son Frank E. Sacco III. Brothers and Sisters, Glen Gainey (Robin), Hurtis Gainey, Francis Fuller (Barry) And Juanita Wilson. His Grandchildren, Ty Good, Abigail McCraven, Sophia McCraven, Lander Cove, Laiklyn Skye, Graclyn Baye, Gatlyn Rayne, Brixlyn Star.
A special niece Lillie Mae Gainey, and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Christina L. Gainey. His brothers, Horace Gainey, Luther Gainey, Doice Gainey, Elton Gainey, and Brasher Gainey. His sisters, Marie Ball, and Elizabeth Roland.
