Jeremiah James Floyd
August 9, 1982- October 15, 2020
Our beloved Jeremiah passed on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mr. Jeremiah James Floyd was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 9th, 1982 to Trena Fletcher and David Floyd. He moved to Durango, Colorado when he was a young child and spent most of his life there. He attended Durango High School and graduated with the class of 2000. After high school, Jeremiah became a Jack of all trades. He obtained his CDL and drove semi truck trailers, he was a carpenter for many years, and later in life found a passion in helping shelter pets.
He was one of a kind! Unique is so many ways; to his own created haircuts, to the way he deeply loved his family and friends. He lived his life to the fullest and followed his passions. He always was trying something new and taking risks; to skydiving, rock climbing, fly fishing, bmx biking, skateboarding, snowboarding, cliff diving, to motorsports. He treasured the time he had with his children James and Grace. He will be deeply missed by them and so many more. He can now rest and be at peace.
Jeremiah is survived by his children; James Floyd (15) and Grace Floyd (13) of Bayfield, Colorado; His Father, David Floyd of Florence, South Carolina; His Brother, Don Herrick of Florence, South Carolina; His Grandmother Tamara Fletcher of Durango, Colorado; His Uncle Paul Floyd, His Aunt Tammy Jessup and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Trena Floyd-Herrick.
Memorial services will be held in Durango, Co at a later date, TBD.
