Jim Cronin lives on eternally in the hearts of his beloved family and cherished friends. A warm, gentle, and kind man who made everybody feel like somebody.
Born on August 17th, 1968, and rared in West Cork, Ireland. Son to Timothy and Elizabeth. Jim followed his dream and moved to Boston, Massachusetts at the age of eighteen, where he met the love of his life, Sonia. The two of them joyously married and created their beautiful life together.
A loving dad to four children, Lizzie, James, Sarah and Jack. Father-in-Law to John Casserly and Rob Rebholz. Grandad to Blake Casserly. Jim was a dedicated family man who continuously guided his children by following his heart and assuring them “There’s nothing you can’t do.” Life’s journey brought their family the opportunities to live in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and South Carolina.
Jim worked on his families dairy farm, his first job in Ireland was growing potatoes in his garden for local restraunts. In America Jim learned the roofing trade and operated two of his own Construction Businesses. He also worked for the corporations Trane and Walmart.
Jim had the music in him; he played the accordion and sang as a child. Throughout his life, sharing music with his friends and family brought him great joy.
Uncle to Maggie Avellino, Sean, Meabh, Timothy, Johannah, Julia and Matthew. Brother to Ted and John. Brother-in-law to Mary Colette, Emma Avellino and Johnny Avellino. Honorary Uncle to Justin, Sophira, Sammi and Jaxson Dion. Dear friend to many across the world including Andre and Jeannine Dion.
