John is survived by his wife Priscilla T. Gardiner of Chester, SC; son, Paul Gardiner and wife Jeanne of Seneca, SC, daughter, Jessica Wilson (fiancé’ Alton) of Chester, SC; grandsons, David and wife Madison, Joseph Gardiner and wife Cameron, DJ Gardiner and wife Amanda, granddaughters, Sabrenna Gardiner, Kaitlin Gardiner (Cody), great grandchildren, Maverick and Emma Gardiner, Mason and Josiah; sister, Samantha Laney(Butch), brothers, Josh Laney (Mandy), Pam Fleck, Jeffrey Gardiner, Scott Gardiner, Ronald Gardiner, Milton Gardiner, John Gardiner, sister and brothers in (Rhode Island), Grafton Gardiner brother in Connecticut, Mark Gardiner brother in New York, brothers Perry Taylor and wife Amy, Keith Haynes wife Rhonda, Kenneth Haynes wife Cassidy, sisters, Melissa Newell (deceased Billy), Betty Goins (Steve), Robin Sanford (Anthony).

A private service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his daughter's residence.
