Remembering Le'Roy Dajuan Canty
Le'Roy "Dajuan" Canty of Rock Hill, SC, transitioned on Saturday, August 9, 2025, too soon. He was born on February 9, 1984, to Cassius Crawford and Charlene Canty. Dajuan is the father of three children, Zyquan Canty, T'Ari Canty, and L.J. (Le'Roy Jr.) Canty, and grandfather to Elliana βEllieβ Canty. He is the firstborn of three sons and will be missed by his brothers, Deric Canty of Alexandria, VA, and Darien Canty (Chavon) of Columbia, SC, with a host of family and friends.
Le'Roy was affectionately known in the Crawford Road, Cornelius Street, and Flint Hill communities as Dajuan, Bomba Klott, and Leezy. His smile and fun-loving spirit would light up any room and change everyoneβs mood. He loved entertaining and hosting family gatherings that included his closest friends, neighbors, and strangers. He would give anyone his last dollar and the shirt off his back if they needed it. He was a model employee at Stevenson-Weir Southern in Rock Hill, S.C., where he worked as a forklift operator.
The viewing and funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. The viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m., and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Dajuan will be laid to rest at Weeping Mary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC, following the funeral service. The repast will be at Flint Hill Baptist Church following the burial. Well-wishers will be received at the home of his mother, Charlene Canty, 1240 Shenandoah Circle, his father, Cassius Crawford, on Patio Street, Rock Hill, SC, and his children at 245 Cornelius Street, Rock Hill, SC. The family appreciates all the prayers, well wishes, hugs, and love at this time.
Parker Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements for the service.
