Obituary For Mr. Paul Douglas (Doug or Dougie) Mackey

Paul Douglas Mackey (Doug or Dougie), age 58, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022. He was the son of Ruby Mackey Thomas and the late James Douglas Mackey. He was born in Rock Hill, SC.

Doug is survived by his loving mother, Ruby Thomas of Rock Hill. Doug also leaves behind his sister Dianne Lubke, 2 brothers Lee Mackey and Carroll Mackey, his son Brian (Brittany) Mackey and 2 grandchildren, and his Daughter Brittany Pendleton and 2 grandchildren. The service will be held on Saturday. Dec 3 at Cel River Church of God at 280 Celriver Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Starting at 2pm. After the funeral service, friends are invited to join his family at 113 Rebekah Rd, Rock Hill 29730. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to consider a donation in Doug’s name to the York County Humane Society.

Man I'm lost for words I've known you since I was like 10 yrs old . You have always been a true friend to me no matter how much time fell between our chances upon running into each other . You have been there for me when I needed a friend and helped me when no one else was there . I can't say how much I will miss you my friend . It really is a sad to think that we will not run into each other somewhere in time . I can only hope and wish that when my day arrives I will see you on the other side. My prayers are with the family as you navigate through this difficult time. Douggie and I shared a lot of good times as kids. Distance pulled us apart as adults, but I'll always remember the fun we shared when life was simpler and care-free. God bless you all.
