Robert Reece Ward (Bobby)

Robert passed away on October 20th, 2023, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on October 31st, 2023, at Forest Lawn, 4601 Freedom Drive Cemetery, Charlotte, NC 28208 with Pastor, Joseph Conklin (grandson) will be officiating.

Mr. Ward was born in Charlotte, NC on August 28th, 1935.

He was employed for over 28 years at Assistalled Groceries as a Mechanic Shop Forman.

He owned and operated Robert R Ward Backhoe and Landscaping. He was a Volunteer Fireman at Statesville Road Volunteer Fire Department.

Robert loved gardening, playing guitar, and Bluegrass music and working outside.

Robert had many friends and loved talking to them and catching up with fellow classmates.

He attended Rock of Ages for many years and Gloryland Baptist.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Frank, mother, Bessie Ward, wife, Joanette, daughter, Tammy Ward, stepchildren, Rita Ross, and Steve Turner.

Robert is survived by his companion, Debbie Hill, children, David Ward, Robbie Ward, Vicki Puckett (Gary), Jeffrey Turner (Elisa), Over 30 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Parker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
