Mr. Ronald "Brownie" Lowery, 76, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born on September 26, 1949, in Rock Hill, he was the son of Roy Lowery and Maggie Poage Lowery.
A Homegoing service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Weeping Mary Baptist Church, located at 1996 Eastview Road, Rock Hill, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home Chapel.
Ronald “Brownie” Lowery, 76, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on August 22, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born on September 26, 1949, in Rock Hill, he was the beloved son of the late Roy Lowery and Maggie Poage Lowery. A proud graduate of Emmett Scott High School, Mr. Lowery carried the values of education, hard work, and community throughout his life.
He dedicated 50 years of service at Bagwell Auto Sales and Arnold Palmer Dealership Detail, where his passion for automotive care and precision detailing shone through. His commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
A faithful member of Prospect Church, Mr. Lowery lived his life with joy, generosity, and unwavering positivity. Known affectionately as “Brownie,” he had a gift for lifting spirits—his infectious laughter, warm smile, and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Whether sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply greeting others with genuine warmth, he brought light into every room he entered.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished daughter, Shantrice Lowery, granddaughter, Iyana Lowery, sisters, Diane Lowery and Mary Lowery. Though deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter, and service lives on in the hearts of family and friends.
He leaves his precious memory to his wife, Margaret Lowery of Rock Hill, SC; daughters, Alice Lowery, Bridget Lowery, Tawanna McKinney (Gerald), and Marrisa Chisholm, all residing in Rock Hill, SC; stepdaughter, Nlyca White (Alvin) of Rock Hill, SC; granddaughters, Alisha Ervin, MyKala Brisbane, and Mya McKinney, all of Rock Hill, SC; grandsons, Jamil Simpson, Akeem Wright, Zameir Wright, and Tyion Lowery; great-grandson, Naraji Lee; five nephews and ten nieces; sister, Gloria Lowery Porter of Rock Hill, SC; brothers, Leroy Lowery, Donald Lowery (twin) and Albert Lowery (Pam), all of Rock Hill, SC; numerous additional relatives, cousins, and acquaintances, distinguished colleagues, Mike Bagwell and Prince Bowens.
Ronald Lowery had worked for Bagwell Auto Sales for 50 years. Family would like to thank Mike Bagwell for showing the brotherly love, the dedication, and the willingness to be a great friend of our father. We just want to say we appreciate you at heart and thank you for everything that you have done. Also, the special memories and just remembering the great time. Thank you.
