Mr. Roosevelt Walker

I do so Thank God for the pleasure of meeting and knowing Mr Walker, I was Blessed by God to acquire a job that allowed me to take the residents of Chandler Place ( where Mr Walker lived ) to their doctors appointments, One of the best memories I shall forever keep in my heart is of a conversation he and I had on the way back was a story he told me of a time he was trying to hitch a mule to a plow on a very hot summer day, the mule broke loose and went and stood by a fence line under a shady tree, Mr Walker said he tried everything he could do to get that ole stubborn mule to leave to no avail.....I at the time interrupted him and said, let me get this straight, You wanted to plow in the hot sun on a hot day, but the mule wanted to stand in the shade, Mr Walker replied to me, yes sir, so, jokingly I said, so you're telling me that ole mule had more sense than you did? I had never before nor never since heard that man laugh as long and hard as he did that day, both of us laughed like two kids all the way back home........While the selfishness part of me still wants him here, I know he now resides with Our Lord and Savior, and oh how I would love to be able to see what he is seeing today, knowing he soon shall receive a glorified body that will be ready to challenge Jonah to a race that i'm betting he will win !! May Our Lord and Savior give unto His family His Peace, and Understanding in this most difficult time in their life.......My prayers are with them this day and always........... Sincerely, Tim Culp
