Ms. Bernice Long Welch, 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at White Oak Manor in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ms. Bernice was a native of Charlotte, NC. Born on August 7, 1936 to the late Lewis Long and Hannah Long.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Friendship Baptist Missionary Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
Ms. Bernice Long Welch’s Homegoing Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.

I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And since each day’s the exact same way
There is no longing for the past
So when tomorrow starts without me
Do not think we’re apart
For every time you think of me
Remember I’m right here in your heart
