Candace Michelle “Candy” Boulware, 62, of McConnells, South Carolina, passed away on April 27, 2026, at Atrium Health. She was born on November 23, 1963.
Candy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Boulware; her mother, Jeanie Cash; her stepfather, Robert Thomas Cash; and her sister, Robin Doster.
She is survived by her sisters, Kimberly Shuler and Dawn Culp (Susan Kimbrell and Leann Swaim); Nephew, Joshua Boulware; Niece, Megan Shuler (Jeff Hinson); Great-nephew, Peyton Bowers; and Great-nieces, Shai-Ann Boulware and Avery Bowers, along with many loving cousins and a lifetime of wonderful friends.
Candy lived her life with a selfless heart. She had a fierce love for her family, her friends, and every four-legged companion that crossed her path. She constantly placed the well-being of others above her own, offering kindness, guidance, and comfort without hesitation.
Candy believed in standing by the people she loved. She had a quiet strength, a generous soul, and a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued. "Friends are the family you choose” rang true in her life; she chose deeply, loved fiercely, and gave freely.
Ms.Boulware's service will be held at 2pm on Monday May 4th, 2026 at Oakdale Baptist Church, 1249 Oakdale Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at Piedmont Medical Center CVICU and Atrium Health for their tireless dedication and compassionate care during Candy’s illness.
Family and friends may visit at the home of her sister, Kimberly Shuler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Society in her memory.
